11 Days and Counting...

Hello everyone,
Just a quick update. We are now confirmed on our travel days and we do have plane tickets! We will fly out of Kansas City on March 12, stay in Tokyo overnight, and then fly to Beijing on March 14th. My best guess is that we'll meet Leila on March 18th and then fly home March 26th. I'll post a more detailed itinerary as the week goes on and our in country travel plans are complete. As my dad said tonight, "it's really happening." We are so thankful for our friends M&K (I'm not sure if they wanted to be anonymous or not), who very graciously gave us their frequent flyer miles in order to fly us to China and back. We're quite sure that they have no idea how much this means to us---we have the most amazing friends and family you can imagine. I have been keeping track of all the wonderfully generous gifts---some monetary, some gifts of time, babysitting, etc.---the list just grows daily as everyone wants to play a part in getting our sweet girl home. The list of 'things to do ' is still long, but we're getting it all done. This weekend we'll paint the girls' room and J will do our taxes (I think painting sounds a lot more fun). Next week we finalize all travel plans and before we know it, we'll be on our way!

Please keep praying for travel plans and for my sister's passport to arrive---she'll need that to go with us and to get her VISA!
